So time consuming and mess making - then you always get one of the kids who doesn't like it anyway!

Our 10 year old loves cereal and will often have it for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner whenever he can.

I love the bottles you can buy now that you just add to meat, pasta and rice. I add extra vegies and it's a quick and easy meal. We take turns because we have no set meal time due to work and sport, etc.

Meh, whatever works I say.

I prefer to clean up rather than cook too.

And what is wrong with a bowl of cereal? And btw, what's wrong with one of the rest of the gang cooking some nights? Both you and Gabe could manage a meal on occasion. Although, I do remember that you would rather do the clean up than cook. I recall with some clarity you remarking to me that you didn't need to learn how to cook because you were going to hire someone to do it when you were old enough.
I did make some effort to cook most nights when Miss Thing was here, but I think (aside from the stuffed shells) she preferred mac and cheese - a great stand-by. You can toss in cut up hot dogs and add a frozen veggie if you need to get fancy.
And I always counted the meatballs i the spaghetti-O's - I ate the extra one if it didn't come out even. I tried cutting it in half but then you would argue over who got the biggest half.

This brings back memories of raiding your H St. pa...

This brings back memories of raiding your H St. pantry!
