Tales From the Trip - Yamba
Yet another good reason for me to be so quiet these past few weeks - I've been on holidays! I kept thinking it hadn't been so long since I'd last been away, but truth be told it was. We last took time away when we went back to the States in June/July last year. 9 months... hell I could make a baby in that time. And since I get 5 weeks vacation time a year - yes US folks, you read that right I get 5 weeks a year - I was well overdue for some time away.
So we broke out the camper trailer and headed down south to Yamba, about 4 hours away in New South Wales. We've toured a lot of Queensland but had only one trip down into cockroach country, so I thought it was about time. And man was it pretty down in the Northern Rivers section of NSW. Sparky took some great pictures:

| The Clarence River at sunrise, right at the caravan park we stayed in. |
It was great to get away. I'll have some stories to relate, and with a bit of luck some news about my job, too. I know, such a tease but I don't want to count my chickens too soon if you get my metaphor.
But now I'm off to bed as I'm back at aforementioned job in the morning. Night, all!

6 Witty Remarks:
Glad you're back - sorry about work tomorrow. And GREAT PICTURES Sparky!
Note to Sparky. Good pics. However, be careful of your horizon line. You're "pouring water" out of the picture. It's hard to watch for. I have problems sometimes with it.

Glad you had a good time Mooselet. We're off to Warwick this weekend to freeze our butts off. Woot Woot!!! Have a fantastic Easter everyone and stay safe :- )
How come you get five weeks and not four? You're halfway as bad as school teachers!!!
I guess you deserve it, plus more really, in your tough job.
I love those photos.

One of our favorite camping spots is Woody Head, just north of Yamba (take the Iluka turnoff). It's in the Bundjalung National Park, has clean, modern amenities, fantastic beach frontage and rock platform, and is very family friendly. It's 10 mins from Iluka, handy to duck in & buy fresh meat & bread, and about 30 mins to Yamba.
what a great view here.. i love it even its only a pic , very interesting :D
