Tales From the Trip - Another Thing
Ok look. I get that a lot of hard-core right wing Republicans don't like President Obama. He's not the guy you wanted for the job and you don't like his policies. And although I've only been here a short time I can see he has problems.
But will you stop referring to him as "The Anointed One"? Seriously... I'm sure you think it makes you sound clever and intelligently sarcastic or something but it only makes you sound petty and like a sore loser. The man was elected by a majority of the country to be its President. Sure YOU didn't vote for him, but your guy lost. Suck it up, buttercup. Work on a better choice for next time and stop wasting time and energy calling him childish names.
Thus endth today's soap box talk. Carry on...

6 Witty Remarks:
A) He deserves the dubious title as a majority of the left feels that only Obama can save the US from collapse. Not the free market. Not a return to a true Republican form of government (read your Constitution; it'll become clear). No, only through his majestic eloquence can we be saved.
B) They suffered through 8 years of the left calling Bush a phony President, evil, fascist, etc, etc... Talk about sucking it up. "Hi Mrs. Pot, I'm Mr. Kettle."
Is it childish on both sides? Yup. Will it ever stop? Nope. I remember a political smear campaign many many years ago where an opponent was called a "masticator" and their wife a "thespian". It has been and always will be the norm; take a deep breath and let it go.
Wow, @ Anonymous, I guess there's a reason why you didn't put your real name. Mooselet didn't seem that she was THAT upset about it, just commenting on it. Like a little rant but within what is 'normal' for a rant. You sound so pissed off, lol. Hahaha!
Mooselet, I love your blog. And your blog name is so cool.
(I know it's kind of random to comment but on the other hand, the blog is public, so lol. I like to comment.)Your life seems so interesting and i enjoy reading about it. (And I love Australia, so like to see how life is like in Australia.)
I for one am delighted with President Obama. No, he's not perfect, but I was not expecting a savior. It also does not help that he inherited a U.S. economy that was in utter shambles.
Jen is right. Many of the problems are the result of the previous Pres and his predessor as well. I like Obama - I think he is trying hard to solve massive problems. I don't think he is perfect, but he is the Pres so suck it up and support the country anyway.
Anoint Anoint Anoint.... I can't help but say that everytime I hear that word!
You can't please everyone. Could be worse - you could have our latest two Prime Ministers!
Maybe some of these folks saying "anoint" are really saying "oink". How many of these crybabies actually voted in the election? How many regularly send their ideas and comments to their elected representatives? I'll bet most just want to sit and bitch. It's more fun for their feeble minds.
I wasn't really an Obama fan. But, the alternative scared me more. I think he's genuinely trying to do a good job. The populace needs help him along with their USEFUL comments, not empty rhetoric. If you're not part of the solution, then you must be part of the problem.
