Win A Super Cool Prize Time
When I sat down last night to do this post I went looking for the prize in order to snap a few pictures and write a better description. I couldn't remember where I'd stashed it for safe keeping. I hate it when I do that. Compounding my attempts to look for it was the fact The Hermit had gone to bed early, so I couldn't conduct as thorough of a search as I wanted to. I did find it this morning, however, so here we are!!!
When I was up in Bundaberg at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, stocking up on cases (yes, cases) of some of my favourite drinks that they just don't sell in Brisbane or in ridiculously small quantities I spotted these on the shelf and just had to grab them:
They're good bar quality coasters, each with its own unique Aussie saying and the English translation underneath. So along with the one featured in the photo - "Don't get your knickers in a knot" - there are classics like "Get a mullet up ya", "Stone the crows", "Flat out like a lizard drinking" and many more. Each one in this set of 12 is unique. On the back side you'll find this:
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks 3 most popular drinks, Ginger Beer, Lemon, Lime & Bitters, and Sarsaparilla (available in both regular and diet).
So how can you win this fantabulous prize? Just leave a comment. That's it. Just comment here on this very post by clicking the 'witty remarks' link below. You have until Tuesday morning at 9am (that's Brisbane time) to leave a comment. After that Clive and I will draw a winner by the very scientific method of writing all your names on little slips of paper and choosing one out of a hat. If you leave me especially flattering comments I'll even throw in some Tim Tams or an Aussie treat of your choosing. I'd send some of the drinks to sit on those coasters, but if you live overseas I think customs would get mad at me. And yes I will ship these to whatever country you reside in. So comment away!
Skinfest tonight when I get home from work. Right now I need to get ready for swimming lessons.

7 Witty Remarks:
Wow!! Those are wicked pissah!! :-)
For the folks that don't win, would you please post the translations? "Get a mullet up ya" is disturbing me.
And if I win? Some Tim Tams would be most appreciated. My son loved them when he went to Australia a few years ago.
(Of all the places he's traveled -- he liked the trip to Australia the best. And no I'm not sucking up to win the prize. He told me that a while ago.)
Ooh... if I win it'll be like a trade, considering I just sent you your CD today. Thanks for buying one Mooselet - I hope you like it!
That IS a super-cool prize! A total Tim-Tam slam, as it were! :-)
Those coasters look awesome! What a great prize.
Love tim-tams! especially the caramel ones. Mmmmmmm
Actually, the Shepster loves the dark Tim Tams the best. I love them all. I look every week in the "English Section" at Stop & Shop but nothing so far.
Oooh, I'm leaving a comment and it's so very very convenient to give me my prize!!!
I've been out of touch a bit of late with the computer due to computer issues and the dog chewing the cord. Am on a mobile connection and a laptop now to try and catch up a bit.
Woe is me!
Think I need some Tim Tams and a cup of tea to help me cope....
Have you ever trying typing with a dog lead, attached to a pup, slipped over your wrist to keep the dog in sight so I can stay on here for more than two minutes?! Not easy, he keeps yanking my chain!
