Something's Cooking
For some unknown reason I spent a large part of my day cooking. Why is this a big deal? Because I don't like to cook. At least on most days I don't get any sort of thrill or happiness out of cooking. It's just another thing I must do. Maybe it's because I'm not confident in my skills. Maybe it's because generally the fruits of my labour aren't appreciated - I usually hear something along the lines of "what is that??" Or maybe I just don't like it.
But today? I made soup, and not my usual Campbells open-a-can soup. Real vegetable soup. And then I baked. I baked muffins. And a cake. Sure I didn't do those from scratch, but still. I baked when I had no reason to other than I wanted to. And then I made dinner and didn't mentally piss and moan about it. And if I had other things to bake? I would have.
Is anyone else afraid?

Do you ever wonder why we have these state governments here? I mean the whole country has a smaller population than California. Don't you think one level of government could handle things?

Free Man - I ask myself that question all the time. I say do away with the State governments and leave us with Federal and local councils only.
Well I like people cooking for me so I think I should be invited to eat, drink and be merry too! I'm always a gunna join a tip comp but never do so I at least should get to come for dinner. You wouldn't want me having to cook as I hate hate hate cooking. I do, however, love love love to eat!
We're still owed a Thanks Giving dinner and pagent... waiting waiting. Feeling jipped big time here!

It;s awesome! Sure, some ingredients have to be sourced from fresh, ie tins of green chilies don't exist but it's no biggie to sweat a few fresh ones down first. Good luck! It looks like Her Majesty loved the last few lickin's of the bowl!
