It Has to Be Said *UPDATED*
I might get some people mad at me with this post, but I've just got to say it.
Bindi Irwin? Really not all that attractive, or even cute:
Go ahead, call me names. I know she's some kind of sacred cow, especially now that her father is dead. I give her full credit - she is an amazing little girl who obviously has inherited her father's talent with animals and for showmanship (or showkidship?). She's smart and well spoken and seems to have a sensible head on her tiny shoulders.
But she's still odd looking. I can't help it. Maybe she'll grow into her features as she gets older and will be a stunner. Not that the crocs will care, but it could happen. Maybe if she wore a colour other than khaki, or had a different hair style.
Tell me what you think - cutie-patootie or a little odd? Do I speak the uncomfortable truth or am I an insensitive bitch?
**UPDATE** Just a few more pics of Bindi Sue (named after a croc and a dog, btw) so you don't think I grabbed the worst picture I could find:![]()

11 Witty Remarks:
Face only a mother could love.
Got the gift of the gab though (and a very good manager). Wonder if she'll have had enough of all this by the time she goes through the sullen teenage years?
I can't be very objective because this is the only picture of her I've ever seen. However, based on this picture... maybe she's just tired from all the media responsibilities of being a child TV star, but her eyes look pretty puffy for sure.
That's a very unflattering picture of her. I remember seeing her at her dad's memorial, and she looked much more attractive for her age then.
She looks a lot like her mother, who is quite attractive. Let's hope Bindi takes after her as she matures.
She seems to have a very sharp mind for her dad's business. That's what I would be most concerned about; that she doesn't burn herself out.
I admire her determination. It's something you don't often see in young people these days--at least here in the states anyway.
I'm with you, Moose, she's a definite freak! I'm not mean to kids or anything so settle down ya'll. I've been saying that since she was first forced into the spotlight and robbed of her childhood. Poor little girl should be in school playing with kids her own age and being "normal". It's just wrong.
I can't decide about her, I think she's kind of cute, you can definitely see she's got her dad's eyes and teeth, mom's nose and lips, gorgeous skin tone, too, she'll nver burn or probably get skin cancer...life is so unfair, eh? For the record, I agree with you, let the kid have a damn childhood! She will NEVER be a real kid, she'll probably have a nervous breakdown at 25 and become a recluse with gazillions of $$$ that sends others to save the animals while she either hides or sits behind the camera. I could be wrong, though and she's the most well adjusted kid on earth.
She does have an odd face - a real mixture of her parents that could go either way. Most of the pictures I have seen of her though do show very puffy, kind of tired looking eyes. Makes me feel sorry for her because they are the kind of eyes that you see in adults with too much stress.
A lot of people really admired her courage when her Dad died but a small part of me kept wondering "How normal is this for a kid that young?" She should have been able to just cry for her Daddy.
There is something "off" about her face and her nose. Hopefully she will grow into it.
Personally, I get the feeling she is being "pimped out" since her Dad died. What happened to letting kids be kids?
Agree with the consensus that she should be allowed to be a kid. But the evil little troll on my shoulder thinks she has an alien look to her.
I think she has the look some would call ... exotic ... especially around the eyes but not the puffiness. Also, pony-tails/pig-tails are probably the least flattering look for that child. Just like some can't wear short hair or long hair, Bindi can't wear pig-tails.
I caught myself rereading this post and remembered what I'd forgotten to mention previously. Am I the only one that finds it weird that mother and daughter have the same exact haircut? I find it totally creepy.
My higher than though self is disappointed that we feel we have to rate her on her looks.. I think she'll grow into her features in years to come.
My secret bitch thinks she can photograph like a complete alien.
On the child pimped out thing, I reckon if my Dad was Steve Irwin, I'd be just as comfortable in the spotlight as he was & committed to doing what they were both so passionate about. I reckon her mum is doing right by her.
If she wanted to walk away from it all, Terri would let her in a heartbeat. I reckon Bindi is as strong a personality as Steve.
Crikey! Just IMO :D
